Amanda Holden has opened up about how her role as a presenter on a new dating show, 'Cheat: Unfinished Business', has positively influenced her marriage.
During the filming of the series, which sees couples attempting to repair their relationships under the sun, Amanda found herself taking relationship advice from co-host and love guru Paul C Brunson.
While chatting with Closer UK about the experience, she revealed: "He gives out amazing advice that I literally made notes on throughout filming. I was really nice to my husband Chris across the summer when we were making the show!"
The Britain's Got Talent judge's remarks come after she previously disclosed that she and her husband Chris Hughes, who have been an item since 2004, often lead "separate lives" due to their hectic work schedules.
Speaking candidly on Heart FM, Amanda explained: "I've been married for over 20 years. Well, I met him in 2003, I can't work it out.
"Anyway, a long time, and our lives have been very separate for a long time because we're both very busy. Obviously, we're very happily married, but we do lots of things separately."
Amanda Holden has opened up about the difficulties of balancing her busy career and marriage, revealing that she and her husband often find themselves apart due to their packed schedules, reports Wales Online.
In an interview, Amanda admitted: "I love my Peloton and running, he goes and plays squash. He's got a massive career as well. We're always separate, you know."
A source close to the couple told Closer that they are actively working on finding ways to spend quality time together, despite their hectic lives.
According to the insider, Amanda reportedly recognises the importance of prioritising her husband and is considering taking a romantic getaway with him - just the two of them.
The source revealed: "Amanda realises that something's got to give but it's not quite that simple.
"She knows she needs to prioritise her husband – who knows how she would cope without him. They've talked about trying a getaway to spend real down time together – alone. The kids are old enough to hold the fort.
"Amanda knows she needs to consider this. Until now it's always been as a family so going on holiday alone would be alien to her. But it's a great place to start, even if it's a long weekend."
In a lighthearted moment, Amanda also joked about her husband's fashion sense, revealing that his casual style is her biggest turn-off. Speaking on Heart FM, she said: "My ick with Chris, although that does sound quite dramatic, is when Chris is dressed casually.
"My husband looks really nice when he goes out but his relaxed look, the thing I would burn without any hesitation, but I think it would pollute the air, is that he owns yellow Crocs."
Amanda is set to appear on the upcoming Netflix show Cheat later this year.
